Welcome and
thank-you for your enquiry regarding the event facilities at SOUTHS SPORTS
CLUB.
The Club comprises
a range of facilities ideally suited for Weddings, Engagement Parties, Birthday
celebrations, Seminars, Corporate Events, Business or Charity meetings, in
fact, almost any occasion that you might imagine may be accommodated!
With the arrival
of Caterscape as venue caterers we now have a range of freshly written menus
that bring an appetising value to any event, not to mention the ability to
customise a selection of dishes to superbly complement your unique occasion.

Don’t let the
numbers make you nervous though, intimate dinner parties for as few as ten
guests are afforded the same level of dedication and attention to detail as
corporate events for thousands!
As a venue,
Souths offers four function areas that may be utilised separately or in
combination to provide the optimum space and atmosphere required to ensure the
success of your event.
Astills Restaurant, with its magnificent curved windows, and
with access to a relaxed al fresco space provides an intimate elegance for
smaller functions or meetings and can accommodate almost 100 guests for a
standing function.
The Green Room, a spacious timber bar, perfect for
pre-dinner drinks! and classic Federation styling, set the scene in the Green
Room for a sophisticated event for up to 260 guests.
The Acacia Room, with the same Federation elegance, only
with access to a full theatrical stage and servery, the
Astills Function Centre, when the Green and Acacia rooms are
combined as one the magnitude of your event has the ability to jump to a whole
new level! Bring together the ability to hold almost 500 standing guests,
provide professional band facilities and a classic Australian bar and you have
the makings of a night to remember!

TERMS
AND CONDITIONS
CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
To confirm your booking we require a security
deposit of $200.00, which will be
refunded at management’s discretion 2
(two) working days after the event.
ROOM HIRE
Upon confirmation of booking, the room hire must be
paid 28 days prior to the event.
Green Room: $300.00
Astills Function Centre
(Green & Acacia Rooms combined) $500.00
Astills Restaurant: $200.00
All rooms are
air-conditioned, with P.A. system, podium, white board, display tables,
overhead projector and screen available should they be required.
PAYMENT
Catering invoices are payable to Caterscape.
Venue Hire and Beverage costs are payable to Souths
Sports Club.
Payment of food and beverage can be made by cash or
credit card and must be made five (5) working days before the event. Personal
cheque is required 5 working days prior to the event. A surcharge of 15%
applies Sundays & Public Holidays on the total of bill
CANCELLATION
In the unfortunate event that a confirmed booking is
cancelled, the security deposit is non-refundable.
PRICE VARIATIONS
While
Souths Sports Club makes every effort to maintain prices as printed, we reserve
the right to alter prices before Confirmation of
Booking. In particular the Menu prices will depend on season availability and
CPI price rises
FINAL ARRANGEMENT AND NUMBER OF GUESTS
The final numbers of guests is required seven (7)
days prior to the function. Charges will be based on the minimum numbers requested at time. Any addition numbers will be charged for.
SECURITY GUARDS
All 21st Birthdays and any function that
the Club deems as ‘high risk’ will be charged $600 for Security Guards. If
additional costs for these guards are incurred, additional
payment will be required from the person holding the function
LIQUOR
Alcoholic beverages will only be served to those
people over the age of 18 years and if asked, guests must produce
identification required by law. If the guests do not comply they will be deemed
underage. We are licensed premises and do not permit liquor to be brought onto
the premises by patrons. Intoxicated persons will not be served alcohol and may
be removed from the premises.
Dry Tills Prior arrangements are required for a dry till amount. This
amount must be paid 5 days prior to the function. Any additional amount on the
dry till will be paid in full before the dry till amount is increased
DAMAGE
Occasionally, accidental damage can occur and
whilst it is regrettable to all concerned, all damages will be deducted from
the security deposit.

CONFETTI
On environmental
and health and safety grounds we do not allow the use of glitter, confetti,
rice etc. within the venue or in its outdoor areas. A fee for excess cleaning
will be charged.
SMOKE MACHINES
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are smoke machines to
be used on the premises. If the alarms are activated by either smoke machines
or accidental breakage of glass alarm points in your function, you are liable
for any charges incurred by Souths Sports Club
OUTSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGE
NO FOOD OR
ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT IN ILLEGALLY, ANY FUNCTION BREACHING THIS
CONDITION WILL BE CANCELLED, AND PAYMENTS FORFIETED, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

I, the

damage occurs, my bond will then be returned in full, 48 hours after the end of
my function. I understand that my $200.00 holding/deposit is non-refundable, if

paid 7 days prior to the event.
